Explore Duroub experience
Message from the Founder
At Duroub Academy, we believe that education is the most powerful way to shape the future of humanity. Every child who enters our doors carries within them the potential to become not only a learner but also a creator, an innovator, and a leader. We aim to nurture this potential with care, purpose, and passion.
We strive to keep our students engaged and passionate about education, ensuring that they never lose their sense of wonder. We want every learner to wake up eager to explore, ask questions, and take ownership of their journey. In a time when knowledge is abundant, true education must inspire curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our commitment goes beyond academic achievement—it extends to building character, fostering creativity, and nurturing compassion. We are preparing a generation of thinkers and doers who will face the challenges of tomorrow with courage, empathy, and purpose.
Together, we are creating a community where education is not just preparation for life - it is life itself.

KG at duroub
At Duroub Academy, the Early Years journey begins in Pre-KG, KG1, and KG2 (ages 3–6), laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning through the PYP framework. Our approach is rooted in inquiry-based, purposeful play, where children’s natural curiosity drives meaningful learning experiences. Through carefully designed provocations and open-ended opportunities, students learn to investigate, question, and express themselves, developing both cognitive and social-emotional skills. The Early Years environment emphasizes the growth of the IB Learner Profile attributes nurturing caring, principled, and open-minded young learners who are eager to take risks and think critically. At Duroub, student wellbeing is a priority, with our campus providing a safe and inspiring space that promotes balance, joy, and activities designed to enhance overall wellbeing. We also embrace technology as a tool for connection and creativity, supporting Duroub’s goal of enriching learners with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. In the Early Years, children are empowered to develop agency, building confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for future learning and active participation in their communities."
Primary years program
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) is designed for students aged 3 to 12. At Duroub Academy, it provides a rich, inquiry-based curriculum that focuses on the development of the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
The PYP nurtures students as curious inquirers, both in the classroom and beyond, empowering them to become active, caring participants in their lifelong journey of learning. Our program combines strong academic foundations with opportunities to think critically, take action, and connect learning to the real world.
Key Features of PYP Learning at Duroub Academy
Transdisciplinary Learning
Students make connections across subjects and apply their learning in meaningful, real-world contexts. Learning is organized around six transdisciplinary themes:
· Who We Are
· Where We Are in Place and Time
· How We Express Ourselves
· How the World Works
· How We Organize Ourselves
· Sharing the Planet
Through these themes, subjects such as English, Arabic, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Physical and Social Education, and additional activities like STEM are integrated into Units of Inquiry.
Inquiry-Based Approach
Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore answers, and reflect on their learning. Teachers act as facilitators and guides, supporting students as they take ownership of their learning.
Holistic Development
The PYP emphasizes not only academic excellence but also social, emotional, and physical growth. Programs in physical education, drama, music, and visual arts promote balance, creativity, and well-being.
International-Mindedness
The PYP cultivates respect and appreciation for diverse perspectives and cultures. Students are encouraged to think globally, act responsibly, and engage with their local and international communities. At Duroub Academy, inclusivity, tolerance, and respect are at the heart of our learning environment.
Concept-Based Learning
Learning is organized around specified concepts such as:
· Form
· Function
· Causation
· Change
· Connection
· Perspective
· Responsibility
This approach builds deep understanding and transferable skills that prepare students for future challenges.
Preparing for the Future
By emphasizing inquiry, international-mindedness, and holistic development, the PYP equips Duroub Academy students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Our goal is to develop confident, reflective, and compassionate learners who contribute positively to their communities.
Middle years program (MYP)

Educational Technology
At Duroub Academy, we view technology not as an add-on, but as an essential part of how children learn, explore, and create. Our students are encouraged to move beyond being passive users of tools and instead become active builders, problem-solvers, and innovators. By engaging with hands-on projects and real-world applications, learners discover how technology can bring their ideas to life and connect their curiosity to meaningful outcomes.
Through our maker culture, students experience education that blends creativity, design, and critical thinking. Whether working collaboratively on projects, experimenting with new materials, or testing their own inventions, they learn that technology is not simply about consuming information—it is about shaping the future. In this way, Duroub nurtures a generation of learners who are confident, imaginative, and ready to lead in a world where innovation is key.
